Zheng Yongnian is a Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Dean of the Qianhai Institute of International Affairs. He serves as the Editor of the China Policy Series (Routledge) and Co-editor of the Series on Contemporary China (World Scientific). Previously, he held academic positions as Assistant Professor and Lecturer in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Peking University, as well as Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow at the East Asian Institute, National University of Singapore. He was also a Professor and Research Director at the China Policy Institute, University of Nottingham, UK, and later served as Professor and Director of the East Asian Institute, National University of Singapore. His research focuses on international relations, foreign policy, Sino-U.S. relations, and China's internal transformation and its external relations. In recent years, he has authored and edited nearly 100 books, including 10 English monographs, and has published dozens of academic papers in international journals.
